The Pack Horse is in the centre of the beautiful village of Hayfield right at the base of Kinder Scout, the highest peak in the Peak District. The building dates from c1850 but there has been a pub on this site since the 13th century. Hayfield was a busy mill town and The Pack Horse was an important stop on the pack horse trail carrying cotton across the Pennines.
An ancient pub with a modern feel - conveniently placed for hikers, daytrippers and locals, the Pack Horse offers a warm welcome, great beer and a tempting menu.
